Johannesburg,Gauteng,South Africa, October 19, 2008. Tons of medical waste illegally stored in trucks in a Johannesburg suburb were hurriedly incinerated after emergency intervention by Morningside Medi-Clinic yesterday.
The infectious waste, collected from hospitals around the province, had been stockpiled after a treatment company refused to destroy deliveries from a collection company because of non-payment.
